About the Author:

Penny Wolin‘s previous visual and verbal journey into American Jewish identity is her seminal book and exhibition, The Jews of Wyoming: Fringe of the Diaspora, as published by Crazy Woman Creek Press and exhibited solo at the Smithsonian Institution. Both volumes are considered unique contributions to our understanding of the American mosaic of Jewish culture. Wolin received her undergraduate degree from Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, studied visual anthropology in the graduate program at the University of California, Los Angeles, and was awarded a directing fellowship to the American Film Institute, Los Angeles. Her client list includes such magazines as Vanity Fair, Esquire, LIFE and Conde-Nast Traveler, as well as The Disney Corporation, Peter Michael Winery, Charles Schulz Museum and UCLA Medical Center. She divides her time among the north and south of California and New York.
